STACEY JEAN GAINES, age 43, of Charleston, died Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.

Born November 13, 1978, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Henry Eugene Decatur and Alice Jean Mathis Decatur, she was a 1997 graduate of Charleston High School and had lived in Charleston entire life.  She was member of the Wyatt Baptist Church.

Stacey is survived by four children; her sister, Samantha Becker; two nieces and two nephews; special friends and caregivers, Dale and Beverly Harris, Brandy Crisel and her family at the Wyatt Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Mildred Grimes Decatur and J.R. and Maudie Ardella Barber Mathis.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time for memorial services at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Wyatt Baptist Church.   Pastor Dean Wallace will officiate.

Private interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
