Stephen Michael Carlisle, age 67, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Citizen's Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, after a battle with cancer.

Born August 31, 1952, in Cairo, Illinois, to Janie Payne of Camden, TN, and the late Andrew Carlisle, he was a US Navy Veteran and had been employed with the United States Postal Service. He was of the Catholic belief.

On May 27, 1988, he married Vickie Modlin in Jackson, Mo., who preceded him in death on August 17, 2019.

He is survived by one son, Jason Carlisle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Ashley (Gregg) Davies of Choctaw Co., Oklahoma; three grandchildren Karly, Wesley, and Bradley of Choctaw Co., Oklahoma; three step-daughters, Monica Motes, Jackson, Mo., Cynthia ( Mark) Brown of Farragut, Iowa, and Stephanie (Chris) Tucker, Crittenden, Ky., one step-son, Carl Modlin, St. Joe, Mo., and one brother, Charlie (Sally) Carlisle of Bertrand.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m., at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston. Father David Dohogne, will officiate.

Interment with full military honors will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO, under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
