Obituary
STEPHEN J. CARTER, Age 56, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at his home in Charleston, Missouri.
Born May 9, 1954 at Wyatt, MO to the late Ulus Lucian and Betty Jean White Carter, he had lived in Charleston most of his life and had been employed as a truck driver for over 30 years.
Surviving are: two sons, Nathan DeHaan of Hudsonville, MI and Benjamin Carter of Charleston; three daughters, Patricia Barnum of Zeeland, MI; Stephanie Raymond and Jennifer Oros both of Hudsonville, MI; four brothers, Elmer Carter, Phil Carter, David Carter and Doug Carter all of Holland, MI; 13 grandchildren.
One brother, Michael Carter, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 1:45 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home with military graveside rites provided be the Missouri Military Honors Program.
