STEPHEN LYNN LINGLE, age 63, a resident of Haysville, Kansas, formerly of East Prairie, died Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Steve was born June 13, 1957 in Cairo, IL to Ralph T. and Doloris Jean Taylor Lingle. Named Salutatorian of his East Prairie High School Class of 1975, he, first and foremost, was proud to be a Missouri farmer.  Always mobile, he most recently lived in a Class A RV in Haysville, KS.  Steve had been a hotel manager in New Jersey and in Utah, worked construction in Las Vegas, NV and was a heavy equipment operator for Sand and Gravel Dredging in Mississippi, Kentucky, and Kansas.

He is survived by his mother, Doloris Lingle of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Odie (Faye) Lingle of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Elvira (Jim) Ptacek of Atlanta, Georgia; one niece, Amy (Brian) Waymire of Nashville, Tennessee and one great nephew, Samuel Waymire.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph T. Lingle; one brother, Thomas Lingle; and his grandmothers, Myrtle Lingle and Essie Taylor.

Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 3:00 pm in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home. Martin Lucas, of East Prairie, will officiate.
