Steve  Hust

Stephen Curtis Hust, age 68, a resident of Poplar Bluff, MO, died Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born April 27, 1954, at Wyatt, MO, to the late William Curtis "Bud" Hust and Margie Robison Hust Vanpool.   Steve grew up in Charleston but had lived in Sikeston most of his life.  He was employed as a forklift operator and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  For the last few years he had lived in Poplar Bluff.

Surviving is his son, Jason Hust; his daughter, Kacie (Kyle) Gilliland; his grandson, Stephen Oliver Hust, all of Sikeston; and a number of cousins.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bobby Gene Vanpool.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Graveside services will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with full military honors.
