Steven Alden Calhoun, age 70, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at his home in rural Sikeston.

He was born October 10, 1951, at El Cajon, CA, to the late Alden and Rose Calhoun and was a graduate of Granite High School in El Cajon. Steve lived in California most of his younger years where he owned and operated at tile business and was then employed as a truck driver.   He then moved to Arkansas with his wife and when her parents needed her extra care, he was quick to move to Missouri where she could be nearby.   They settled in rural Sikeston where he began a longtime friendship with Doug Scott with Scott Farms and farmed for Doug until his passing.

On August 14, 1999, he married the love of his life Mary Harper, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his sons, Lucas and Lance; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time for the memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Private burial will follow.
