Steven Forrest Henry, age 51, died Saturday. August 25, 2018, at his residence in East Prairie.

He was born on February 16, 1967 in St. Louis to Charles Forrest and Carolyn Jo Poole Henry who survive of East Prairie.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one sister Marcia Lynn (Gary) Dunn of Twin Oaks; one nephew, Graham Dunn; one niece, Chelsea Lynn Dunn; and one great niece, London Marie Dunn; also several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Steve was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church for the last four years. He knew how to pray and often prayed for others.

Steve loved spending time with his family, whether it was fishing with his dad, traveling with his mom, or visiting with his sister, his nieces and nephew, his uncles and aunt, and many cousins. At home he loved to listen to his music, sing, and drive his dogs around in his golf cart.

Steve attended Columbus Care Center for 35 years and had many friends there. He enjoyed going with them to the rodeo, concerts, Special Olympics, on picnics, bowling, and especially to dances. He loved to have a good time and always wanted to make people laugh.

Steve enjoyed traveling and had an adventuresome spirit. Fearlessly he hiked in mountains and climbed rocks, he went white water rafting on the Colorado River, he swam in the ocean, and once petted an alligator and a snake. There was nothing he wouldn't try.

Steve was a beautiful soul with a loving spirit. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He is now at Home with his Lord in All His Glory.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marcus Landon Henry; one sister, Deborah Kay Henry; his grandparents, Forrest Henry, Darling Henry and Geraldine Abner.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018, at the McMikle Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Amos Johnson of Sikeston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
