Steven Clay "Wimpy" McLaughlin, age 60, of Puxico, MO, formerly of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born September 16, 1964, in St. Louis, MO, Steve lived in Sikeston a number of years and owned and operated Steve's Lawn Service. He later moved to Puxico and lived there the last few years.
On September 4, 2001, he married Wilma Lee Jackson, who preceded him in death on March 4, 2020. He later married Kathy Brown, and she survives.
Also surviving are his stepsons, Ronnie Lee (Sherrie) Moody, Jason Wade Moody, Thomas Franklin Moody and Gilbert Brown; his sisters, Bonnie, Carol and Kathy; brothers, Gary, John and Chopper; Steve had many "mothers" that gave him the love he needed, especially Mary; a very special friend and counselor, Heidi; and a number of other friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Helen.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Berrong Cemetery near Zalma, MO. Larry Tucker will officiate.
McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
