Sue Swiney

Fannie Sue Swiney, age 84, of Morehouse, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Bertrand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 7, 1939, at Catron, MO, to the late Judson Bennie "J.B." Henson and Chaple Weaver Henson, she had lived in Morehouse most of her life where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.  In years past she was employed with McDonald's Dress Shop in Dexter and Sikeston.

On July 12, 1958, she married Bobby Gene Swiney, who preceded her in death January 5, 2023.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter in law, Jeffrey Keith Swiney and Stanley Christopher and Meg Norton Swiney all of Sikeston; one grandson, Ben Norton Swiney of Sikeston; also, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Johnson and Shirley Miskell.

Family and friends may assemble for graveside services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  Rev. Ronnie Stevens will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

In lieu of flowers, plants and gift items, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the Kenny Rogers Childrens Center, 300 Floyd Ave., Sikeston, MO 63801.
