Teresa Gail Western, lovingly known as “Nene,” was born on November 6, 1965, in Sikeston, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, in the loving arms of her husband, Randy, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and a family who will forever cherish her.

Teresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a woman who loved her family deeply and gave so much of herself to the people she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. As a Nene, she held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren and loved them with all that she had.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Western; her children, Cody and Jamie Kosky, Kenneth and Brooke Western, and stepson Joshua Heitman; and her five cherished grandchildren, Peyton Rapert, Heidi DeBrock, Sophia Kosky, Jacob Western, and Brooklynn Western.

She is also survived by her siblings, Delores Appleton, Donna Robinson, and Terry Freeman.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Charles Freeman; and her siblings, Linda Freeman, Kenny Freeman, and Allan Freeman.

Those who knew Teresa will remember her for the love she poured into her family, her devotion as a loving and devoted wife and mother, and the special love she had for her grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives she touched.

Though her family will miss her more than words can express, the love she gave will remain with them forever. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.

Funeral Services

Visitation for family will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston, followed by visitation for friends at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Austin Maxwell will officiate.   

Services will be held at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri.

Interment will follow at Armer Cemetery near Bertrand, Missouri, under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Cody Kosky, Preston Appleton, Trey Rapert, Shawn Freeman, Chris Estes, Gene Masters, Lanny Little, and Kenny Little

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Western, Mitch Thompson, and Tim Williams

Teresa Gail Western will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
