Thelma Mae Chappell

THELMA MAE CARNELL CHAPPELL, age 86, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at her home in Diehlstadt.

Born December 22, 1933, at McKuin, TN, to the late Virgil and Lavada Laura McCarson Carnell, she had lived in Diehlstadt most of her life where she was a member of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church.

On June 25, 1960, she married Bobby Joe Chappell, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is her daughter, Arielle Carnell Moser of Sikeston; grandchildren, Anastasia Wilson and Timothy Melton of Sikeston; her sister, Shirley Carnell Perry of Diehlstadt and one special niece, Amanda Perry, of Diehlstadt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Carnell.

in honor of Thelma and Bobby's 60th wedding anniversary, Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020, at the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church. Pastor Dewayne Kirkpatrick will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
