THELMA SUE SCHADE, age 71, a resident of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 1, 1944, in Covington, TN, to the late Robert Lester and Ruby Mae Delashmit Allbritton. She moved to Missouri in 1954 and had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1992. She had been employed as a Certified Medical Technician at the Charleston Manor and later Cape LaCroix Nursing Home until her retirement in 1987.
She was first married to Floyd Vernon "Tuffy" Bender who preceded her in death in 1969. On March 3, 1972, she married Lonnie Edward Schade, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles Robert (Phyris) Bender of Lockwood, MO and Floyd V. "Rocky" (Barbara) Bender of Kennessaw, GA; one daughter, Lorri Ann Fann of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lois Marie Housman of Carpinteria, CA, and Ida Pearl Davidson of Matthews; two sisters in law, Mary Keene Burke of Charleston and Carolyn Allbritton of Cape Girardeau; 5 grandchildren, Corey Alin (Tammi) Bender, Corey James Fann, Nichole Aaron, Daniel Smith and Jenna Kaye Bender; 4 great grandchildren, Remi Bender, Jena Bender, Ashlyn Bender and Dominic Bender; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor Yvonne Miller of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Luther Allbritton, a veteran of the Korean Conflict declared Missing in Action in 1953, and Russell Berlin Allbritton; also one sister, Mary Alice Clines.
Visitation will be at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Floyd V. Bender Jr., Charles R. Bender, Mark Thomas, Jimmy Housman, Raymond Butler, and Corey Fann.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
