Obituary

Thomas Everette Delana, 76, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.  He was born, Feb. 6, 1941 in Dover, Missouri to the late John E. and Dolly (Hostetter) Delana.  A resident of the New Madrid area for the past 30 years, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and had been a supervisor at the Matthews Gin in New Madrid and later a security Guard at the Sikeston Power Plant.  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Everette & Trish Delana, Jr. of Grain Valley, MO and Frank & Susan Delana of Sikeston;  1 daughter and son-in-law, Sonya & Craig Reddick of Marceline, MO; 3 step-sons, Dallas Debbie of Blue Springs, MO, Russell & Karen Deatherage of Marshallville, GA, and Gary & Jamie Neer of the state of Idaho.  Also surviving are 3 brothers Ronald Delana of Chilicothe, MO, Tony Delana of Springfield and Jerry Delana of Odessa; and 1 sister Judy McDowell of Lexington.  1 granddaughter and 1 great-granddaughter also survive.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.  Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 2, in the Committal Shelter at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with Rev. Jason Crowe, pastor of First Baptist Church of Morehouse and Garland Hughes, church deacon officiating.   Full Military Honors
