TOM ARTHUR CRAWFORD, age 75, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his residence in Charleston.

He was born November 28, 1940 in Deventer to the late Guy Thomas and Bernita Key Crawford. Living in Mississippi County his entire life, he was a graduate of Charleston High School and had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service, the Charleston Auction Company, and in farming. In 1976 he purchased land in Southern Illinois and began fulfilling his dream of raising cattle. He remained a cattleman until his death.

In December of 1965 he married Pamela Warren who survives of Charleston.

Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Grant Crawford of Charleston and Gregory Crawford of East Prairie; one daughter, Denise Crawford of Bertrand; one brother, Richard Crawford of Charleston; three sisters, Blanche Presson of St. Louis, Diann Zoellner and Lou Goodall both of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

One son, Gregg Crawford, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held at McMikle Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.,m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon King, Robert Carmen, Toby Martin, Darren Haney, Buddy Reeves and Dale Schnaare.
