TOM FERRELL

MILLARD DALE 'TOM' FERRELL, Age 89, a resident of East Prairie, died at 8:51 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born January 1, 1921, at Sikeston, MO, to the late E. Earl and Mary Velda Alley Ferrell, Sr., he had attended the Diehlstadt School and had lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He had lived in East Prairie a number of years where he owned and operated Ferrell's Supermarket and was member of the Full Gospel Church.

On October 13, 1940, he married Florene Kirkpatrick, who preceded him in death on June 23, 2003.

Surviving are: three sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Olivia Ferrell of Springfield, MO; Dennis and Ann Ferrell of Paducah, KY and Randy and Connie Ferrell of East Prairie; three daughters and sons in law, Sheila and Danny Smithson of East Prairie; Sharon and David Moore of Washington, MO and Connie and El Willman of St. James, MO; one brother, Paul David "P.D." Ferrell of Wahpeton, ND; one sister, Jeanne Elliott of Louisville, KY; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jared Cooper; six brothers, Bartley Ferrell, Galen Ferrell, Delmar Ferrell, Harry "Doc" Ferrell, E. Earl Ferrell and Marvin Ferrell and by one sister, Mary Louise Brumley.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Full Gospel Church on Garfield Street in East Prairie. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Full Gospel Church with Pastor Mike Johnson, officiating.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters.
