Tony Lee Raines, 59, a life-long resident of this area, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born January 22, 1958 in Sikeston to the late Cordie and Evelyn (Ryan) Raines, had been a scale operator at Tyson Foods in Dexter and was a member of Canalou Baptist Church. He was married September 19, 1997 to Deena K. Whitehorn in Sikeston and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 1 son, Jamie (Cheryl) Wren of Dongola, Illinois; 1 daughter, Felecia Stanley of Benton; 2 brothers, Jim Ryan of Dubuque, Iowa and Tommy Raines of Sikeston; and 1 sister Martha Kay Bradley of Sikeston. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 nephews and 1 niece. Graveside rites will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Blodgett Cemetery with Rev. Dwayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church officiating.
