Vada Marie (Mason) Eaton, 76, a long-time resident of Sikeston, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at her home. She was born Dec. 11, 1940 in Kennett to the late Floyd Elbert and Ruth Wilson (Wagster) Mason. Vada had first worked at International Shoe Co. and later as a waitress at Lamberts Café. She is survived by her sweetheart for life, Rodney Emery, of the home; 1 son David (Marie) Eaton of Rockton, IL; 1 daughter Debbie (Daniel) Stewart of Columbia; 1 step-son Rodney (Cheryl) Emery of Temecula, CA; 2 step daughters, Michelle (David) Bishop of Phoenix, AZ and Marci Emery of Middletown Connecticut. Also surviving are 1 brother, Billy Wayne (Deana) Mason of Advance; 1 sister Barbara Montgomery of Dexter and 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 10., at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 11 am until time for services at 1:00 pm. Rev. Dwayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Emery, Billy Wayne Mason, Terry Mason, Chris Underhile, Matt Underhile, Russell Summers, Brent Staggs and Rodney Emery.
