Velma Louise Harris Graham, age 89, of Sikeston, MO, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

Born November 1, 1936, at Covington, TN, to the late Rev. J.W. Harris and Willie Gladys Harris, she and her husband were stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC for a number of years while he served in the U.S. Marines. While there Velma would work in nursing care on the base. In 1984, the family moved to Sikeston, Missouri and she would then work in nursing home care. She had attended the First Assembly of God Church in Morehouse and in Sikeston and was a member of the Sikeston Eagles and the American Legion.

On October 31, 1956, she married Raymond Lee Graham, who preceded her in death December 7, 2013.

Survivors include her son, Anthony Graham of Sikeston; her daughter, Donna Graham Hale of Sikeston; her grandson whom she raised, Adam Graham; seven additional grandchildren, James, Raymond, Diane, Christopher, Kayla, Gregory and Thomas; her brothers, Paul David Harris and Thomas Ray Harris, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Bobby Lee Graham and Tommy Dewain Graham; one daughter, Chery Diane Snyder; her brothers, Jerry Harris, James (Lina Mae) Harris and her sisters, Helen Fowler and Mary (Alfred) Fuller.

Graveside services will be conducted at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO is charge of arrangements.
