Vernon Dale Brown, 69, a life-long resident of this area, died at his home in Sikeston, Sunday, March12, 2017.  He was born in East Prairie Nov. 26, 1947 to the late Roy and Sybil (Graves) Brown.  He was a truck driver for over 46 years, most recently for LaPlant Trucking.  On April 4, 1980 he was married to Anita Fetters in Sikeston and she survives of the home.  Also surviving are 3 sons, Roy (Sue) Myracle of Louisville, Kentucky, Jerry Brown (Dena Vaughn) of Sikeston and Aaron Brown of Sikeston; 4 daughters, Shannon (Joey) Adams and Jessica Brown of Sikeston, Jennifer (Daryl) Bishop of Ocean Springs, Ms. and Amber Brown (Chris McCoy) of Bloomfield; 1 brother, Earl Ray Brown of Columbus. Ga.; 1 special niece,  Verla Murphy and 2 special great-nephews, Daniel Russell and Robert Russell all of Sikeston; and 25 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am Thursday until time for services at 1:00 pm at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Eskew, pastor of New Beginnings Church in East Prairie officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Joey Adams, Logan Adams, Landon Adams, Robert Murphy, Robert Russell, Roget DeLisle and Jeff Head.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at blanchardfuneral.com.
