Thomas Victor "Vic" Hairston, 64, a resident of Matthews, MO, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.  He was born May 2, 1954 in St. Louis to the late Thomas and Alice (Mason) Hairston.  Vic had lived around the Sikeston area for the past 40 years, was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a salesman at Heartland Office Supply.  On Aug. 27, 1976 he was married to Caryl Joyce in Sikeston and she survives of the home.  Also surviving are 2 sons and daughters-in-law:  Josh & Meghan Hairston of Jackson, Mississippi and Mitch & Amanda Hairston of Sikeston;  5 grandchildren, Emily, Jordan, Holly, Steadman and Evelyn and 1 sister, Sue Sauceda, of Oran.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Timothy Mark Hairston.  Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 11 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 11:00 am until 1 :00 pm.  Graveside rites, with full military honors, will be at 2:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at blanchardfuneral.com.
