Vickie Dale Litchford Ice, age 74, of Mound City, IL, formerly of Charleston, MO, died Friday, March 31, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born February 3, 1949, in Monticello, CA, to the late Dale Reeves Litchford and Thelma Louise Murphy Litchford, she grew up in Charleston where was a 1967 graduate of Charleston High School and had attended the Church of Christ.

Following her high school graduation, Vickie embarked on a lifetime journey in health care.  She began by attending Freed- Hardeman University in Henderson, TN and went on to become a licensed practical nurse in 1972. Vickie later became registered nurse and practiced until her retirement in 2010.  She had lived in the Mounds and Mound City, Illinois area for a number of years

On April 20, 1973, she married Thomas Wesley "Tommy" Ice, who preceded her in death July 30, 2015.

Surviving are her sons, Thomas "Dickie" Barnes and his wife, Ellen, of Miller City, IL; Darren Lee Ice and his wife, Angela, of Springfield, IL and Stacy Bryant Ice and his wife, Wendy, of Pulaski, IL; seven grandchildren; also, her special friend, Tim Patrick of Mound City; IL, and a number of cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ann Litchford in 1942, and her only brother, Ricky Reeves Litchford, who was killed in an automobile accident near Charleston on February 14, 1969.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.   Rev. Buddy Walls will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Barnes, Stacy Ice, Todd Sissom, Justin Ice, Tim Williams and Monte Russel.
