Virgie Busby Thomure

VIRGIE LISA BUSBY THOMURE, 75, formerly of East Prairie, died Friday, November 20, 2020, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born April 7, 1945, in Kentucky to Cecil (Pete) and Margaret Busby.  She had lived in East Prairie most of her life and had worked in real estate for several years.

She was married to John Earl Thomure who preceded her in death in 2007.

Surviving are her children, Johnny H (Renee) Thomure of Independence; Barbara (Mike) Warren and Marla (Brad) Eftink all of Sikeston; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William H. "Billy" Thomure; three brothers, Lewis Busby, Ronnie Busby and Paul Busby and by one sister, Peggy Busby.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m., at the Dogwood Cemetery.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
