VIRGINIA ELLEN CARR LYNCH, age 88, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her home in Charleston.
She was born July 2, 1933, at Charleston, MO, to the late Leo S. Carr and Maude Perkins Carr and was a graduate of St. Henry Catholic High School. For over 42 years, she was employed with the Brown Shoe Company in Charleston until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.
She was married to James L. Lynch who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Chris Allen (Rita) Lynch of Benton, KY; Pamela Kay VanPool of Benton, MO; Gary Lynch of Sikeston and Delores Diane Lynch of Charleston; her brother, James Carr of Olathe, KS; her sister, Ruth Ann Telker of Charleston; her grandchildren, Christopher Lynch, Dustin Lynch, Jeffrey Hughes, Brandy Hughes, Christy Hughes, Greg VanPool, Regina Redmon and Michael Redmon; eleven great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jammie Allen Lynch; one great granddaughter, Serenity Rose Hughes; her brothers and sisters, David Carr, William Carr, Robert Carr, Loretta Gier, Dorothy Wadley, Edward Carr, Catherine Baker, Fred Carr and Glennon Carr.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. David Dohogne, pastor of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
