Wanda Kay McDaniel Armstrong, age 68, of Cape Girardeau, MO, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born August 26, 1956, at Charleston, MO, to James Leon McDaniel and Daisy P. Carrington McDaniel.  Wanda had lived in St. Louis a number of years before moving to Fredericktown and later to Cape to be near her family.

Surviving is her son, Charles (Rachel) Armstrong, II; her daughter, Jamie (Christopher) Smith; grandchildren, Nickolas, Jacoby, Breeanna and Dakota; her mother, Daisy McDaniel; her brother, James "Tom" McDaniel and his wife, Donna; her sisters, Linda Bone and her husband, Ronnie and Brenda McDaniel.  Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Armstrong; her daughter, Tracy Lynn Armstrong and her father, James Leon McDaniel.

A private service and burial will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
