WANDA LEE STINNETT McDERMOTT, Age 67, a resident of Charleston, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at the home of her son near East Prairie.
Born March 24, 1949, at Charleston, MO, to the late Ernest Burton Stinnett and Nettie Cleone Lynch Stinnett, she had lived in Charleston most of her life and was a member of the Bement Baptist Church.
She was married to Gary McDermott who preceded her in death.
Surviving is one son, Travis (Stephanie Howard) McDermott of East Prairie; two brothers, Robert (Angie) Stinnett of East Prairie and David (Cheryl) Stinnett of Sikeston, MO; five sisters, Francis (Ira) Simms of Ward, AR; Onedia Boatwright of Arnold, MO; Sue Adank of Tallahassee, FL, Janie (Paul) Aters of Sikeston and Joyce Hinchey of Festus; five grandchildren, T.J. McDermott, Chris McDermott, Samantha Brown, Jacob Brown and Caitlyn Coleman; one great grandson, Christopher Jaxon McDermott. Also, two sisters in law, Barbara Stinnett and Diane Stinnett, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Stinnett, Earl Stinnett and Donald Stinnett; one sister, Eileen Burpo, and three brothers in law, A.E. Boatwright, Gordon Adank and Bill Hinchey.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the McMikle Funeral Home.
A memorial service will then be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Bement Baptist Church with a time of fellowship to follow.
