Wanda Pope

MARGARET WANDA POPE, age 93, a resident of East Prairie, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born April 18, 1927, at Detroit, MI, to the late Samuel E. Parr and Maggie Milliner Parr, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life and had been employed as an accountant with Mount Level Farms for over 48 years.  She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.

Surviving are her sons, Gary Dale (Cheryl) Jones of Knoxville, TN and Steve (Angie) Jones of East Prairie; her grandsons, Michael (Audrey) Jones and Brandon Huff of East Prairie and Bradley (Megan) Jones of Cape Girardeau; great grandchildren, Tanner Jones, Tucker Jones, Laura Michael Jones, Vivian Marie Jones, Thomas Wade Jones and her great great grandchildren, Wyntr Harlow Russell and Jonsie Mae Russell; also a number of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 7, 2020 at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
