Wanda Jean Walls Vann, age 82, of Matthews, MO, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 8, 1939, to the late Orville Clint Walls and Ester Stella Rhoades Walls.   Wanda had lived in the Matthews area most of her life where she was a member of the First Christian Church and was active in the Matthews Jaycees.   For a number of years, Wanda was employed in the New Madrid County Assessor's office.

On February 21, 1959, she married Jarrell Mitchell "Jerry" Vann, who preceded her in death on February 12, 2016.

Surviving is her daughter, Cheryl Vann of Matthews; her daughter in law, Donna Vann of East Prairie; grandchildren, Cati (Mitchell) Aters and Tre Hammontree of East Prairie and Cameron Ellis of Matthews; great grandchildren, Landri, Lexton and Livy Gray Hammontree and Beau Aters, as well as a number of "adopted" grandsons.   Also surviving are her siblings, Claudie Walls, Jimmie Dean Peachee and Norma Alsup and number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Vann and her siblings, Cuma Hale, Linzy Walls and Doyle Walls.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the Matthews Jaycee Building, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
