WILEY JOE SEVIC, SR., age 84, a resident of Bertrand and formerly of Wyatt, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Miner Nursing Center.

Born April 21, 1935, at Dardanelle, AR, to the late Frank Sevic and Mildred R. Hicks Sevic, he was a graduate of Diehlstadt High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He had been employed with Burke Farms until his retirement.

Surviving are his sons, Barry (Kim) Sevic of Florrisant; Wiley (Chrysta DeSean) Sevic, Jr., of Lees Summit and Frank (Jackie Tollison) Sevic of Bertrand; his daughter, Cynthia (Charles) Moates of Sikeston; his grandchildren, Dustin Moates, Jarod Moates, Corey Sevic, Carter Sevic, Lindsey Sevic and Nikki Sevic; two sisters, Judy Crowley of Wyatt and Linda McVay of Jackson; also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Scott Sevic and his sister, Anna Sevic Badgley.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time for the funeral at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Jason Davis of Sikeston, will officiate.

Committal services with full military honors will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
