WILLARD LEE 'DOC' BAKER, age 75, died Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home in Bertrand.
Born May 2, 1942, at Rivervale, AR, to the late John William "Bill" Baker and Dellia Louise Guthrie Baker, he had lived in Bertrand a number of years where he served on the Bertrand Fire Department and a past member of the Bertrand City Council. Having served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, he was then employed as a Boilermaker until his retirement.
Surviving is his life companion, Tammy Jennings of the home.
Also surviving are two stepsons, Todd Light of Bertrand and Cody Light of Texas; one brother, Jim Baker of Bertrand; one sister, Reba Peterson of Grand Rapids, MI; also three children from his first union.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Baker; one sister, Nina Langerek and his second wife, Carol Miller.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date at the Bertrand Fire Department.
