Obituary

WILLIAM G. 'BILL' ANDERSON, Age 77, a resident of Charleston, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born November 25, 1934, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Clarence Kirb and Vern Rose Baker Anderson, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and was engaged in farming until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was of Baptist belief.

On August 31, 1956, he married Shirley Stallings, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: one son and daughter in law, Tony and Martha Anderson of Monroe, LA; one daughter and son in law, Kathy and Blake Miller of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Frances Lingle and Jerry Ann Barnes of East Prairie; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Charles P. Anderson and C.K. "Dick" Anderson and three sisters, Betty Walker, Juanita Holder and Dorothy Anderson all preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Josh Miller, Rick Davis, Justin Cook, Mike Leible, Charles Lingle and Mark Dunaway.
