WILLIAM RAYMOND 'BILL' GAGE, JR., Age 83, a resident of Charleston, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Charleston Manor.

Born August 19, 1927, at Neelyville, MO to the late William Raymond and Lillian Decker Gage, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and was a retired truck driver. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

On October 3, 1952, he married Vera Boyd Jones who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: one son and daughter in law, William Raymond, III and Patty Gage of Fenton, MO; one stepson and daughter in law, Jimmie and Jeanette Jones of St. Mary, MO; one stepdaughter and son in law, Carolyn and Rob Bowers of Hot Springs Village, AR; four brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Betty Gage of Bertrand; Barney and Carolyn Gage of Henderson, KY; Warren and Lynn Gage of Benton, MO and Don and Carol Gage of Route 2, Charleston; two sisters and brothers in law, Mary Lou and Louis Bradley of Charleston and Theda and Larry Williams of Sikeston; three grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; one great grandchild and two step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

One daughter, Rebecca June Forbey; one step daughter, Leslie Flores; one brother, Dale Gage and one sister Maxine Adams, all preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Martin Lucas of East Prairie, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery at East Prairie under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home. Military Graveside rites will be provided by the Missouri Military Honors Program.

Pallbearers will be his four brothers and two brothers in law.
