WILLIAM M. "CURLEY" GAMMONS, age 69, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at his residence in Sikeston, MO.
He was born August 13, 1944 in Mississippi County to the late William "Bill" and Maude Nancy Adams Gammons. He lived in Wauchula, FL for several years before returning to Mississippi County in 1990. He had been employed in farming and as a truck driver until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of the Chapel by the Lake Church in Sikeston.
On April 8, 1994 he married Ginger Hayden who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Darrin Gammons and Timmy Gammons both of the state of Texas; four step daughters, Virginia Kirby, Sarah Hayden, Chastity Hayden all of East Prairie, Ashley Toress of Bertrand,; six brothers, Billy Jean Gammons, Junior Walter "Bugs" Gammons, David Paul Gammons, and Lonnie Paul Gammons all of East Prairie, Larry Gammons of Lilbourn, and Roger Gammons of Cameron; one sister, Martha Sue Gammons of the state of Alabama; one brother in law, Garry Vinson of East Prairie; also 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Gammons; three brothers, Willy Odelle Gammons, Bobby Gammons, and Jerry Wayne Gammons; and one sister, Lula Mae Gammons.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Nick Simmons, pastor, of the Chapel by the Lake Church in Sikeston.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Hill, Ricky Linhart, Robert Hill, Kaleb Linhart, Garry Vinson, and Michael Toress.
