Obituary

William Marshall Pollock, age 68, was born May 27, 1954, in Denver, CO and died May 14, 2023, in Hannibal, MO

William "Will" hungered for God's presence throughout life. Now he rests, fulfilled in that promise. Joined with our Savior Jesus Christ and his cherished mamma on Mother's Day, joyfully residing in eternity.

William "Billy" was born to Virginia Marshall Pollock, (of Charleston, Missouri) and H. Carlyle Pollock, Jr. Growing up on a beautiful ranch in Sedalia, Colorado, he was joyful, playful, intelligent, and athletic. As a member of the Arapahoe Hunt Club, Plum Creek Polo Club, & Eskimo Ski Club, Will excelled. He graduated from New Mexico Military Institute, and then pursued degrees in chemistry, psychology, math, electrical engineering, and theology; becoming a learned man.

Will moved to Charleston Missouri, where he was known as a cheerful giver and a willing volunteer in the kitchens of area churches. Well-loved and kind-hearted, his values and virtues spoke of his devotion to God and his faith in Salvation. He knew his Bible well, as he studied it even at the very end. Nurses who attended him recently said he was sweet, kind, and intelligent. "William was loved by many that cared for him; at times he could be strict, but he was a man of faith that taught everyone he came into contact with."

Survived by his brother, Stratton Carlyle Pollock (Diehlstadt, MO) and sister, Carla Pollock Holst (Sedalia, CO).

There is no visitation.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Charleston United Methodist Church in Charleston. Rev. Scott Moon, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

One thing I ask from the Lord ,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:4 NIV
