Obituary

C. Wolffe Bagby, age 66, of East Prairie, died Sunday, August 25, 2019, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born July 2, 1953, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, IL, to the late A. Dean Bagby and Margaret Berbling Bagby. He grew up in Cairo, attending St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a 1971 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah, KY.  Wolffe went on to attend the University of Missouri at Rolla where he majored in civil engineering and later attended Clemson University at Clemson, SC, where he received his Masters of Business Administration degree. For a number of years, he lived in South Carolina and returned to Cairo, IL in 1998.  He then moved to East Prairie where he made his home with his wife, Joey.  He was currently employed at Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston.  He attended St. Henry Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and Kentucky Wildcat fan.

On August 11, 2001, he married Shirley Jo "Joey" Quertermous, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Marc (Lisa) Bagby of Honolulu, HI, Raelen Bagby of Spartanburg, SC and Conn (Miranda) Davis of Plano, TX; one sister, Deana (Billy) Pecord of Thebes, IL; four grandchildren, Antony Bagby, Jaelyn Bagby-Gentry, Annette Davis and Alexander Davis; one nephew, W. Lucas (Addie) Pecord.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston with Father David Dohogne, as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, IL under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Conn Davis, Lucas Pecord, David Williams, Tony Naas, Joe Oliver and Chuck Leible.
