Anna "Doris" Sacks

Born in East Prairie, MO to Elburta Jenkins Culp and David Haskal Culp. Beloved mother of Gregory (Sandy) Sacks, Catherine (Greg) Meinert and Christine (Jerry) Ashcraft. Loving grandmother of Alexandria (Justin) Micke, Jim Sacks and Steven Sacks. Cherished great-grandmother of Phoebe Micke. Dearest sister of the late Larry Culp, the late Terry (Barb surviving) Culp, Linn (Judy) Berry, the late Mary Jane Bruner and the late Carl Wayne Berry Jr. Former wife of the late Jim Sacks. Dear niece of Leona Phillips. Our dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Doris spent over 38 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was very dedicated to the care of her patients, always treating them with respect and dignity. She loved music and dancing.

Although Alzheimer's Disease consumed her mind and body for the last several years, her love of music awakened her inner spirit, to the delight of those around her.

Visitation from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Mike McKinney, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
