Billy "Bill" Freeland went to his Heavenly Father on December 4th, 2024. Bill was born on February 19, 1948, to the late Clyde and Inez Andres Freeland.

Bill worked for over 20 years for Flaire Ferrell Inc. as a backhoe operator. His reputation of being a superb backhoe operator preceded him into several states. He later started B and B construction company doing what he loved in underground construction.  He then later became an over the road truck driver for many years until he retired. He spent the last several years scrapping metal and enjoying auctions.

Bill is survived by his son, Billy (Brandy) Freeland of Sikeston, MO; four daughters, Tracy (Scott) Vanover of Paragould, AR;  Samantha (David) Gaines of Sikeston, MO,; Heather Freeland of Sikeston, MO and Patience (Charles) Nelson of Sikeston, MO;  Bill is survived by eleven grandchildren, Carman Vanover, Ryan Vanover, Johnathan Freeland, Ty Freeland, Maebrie Freeland, Jasmine Halbert, Matthew Halbert, Annie Gaines, Ansley Nelson, Jayden Wilson and Ridge Nelson; five great grandchildren, Ellie Roper, Ean Roper, Hailee Foster, Kayden Vanover and Karlee Vanover; his sisters, Alice Cox, Ellen Woody and Tammy Tarrants; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Inez Andres Freeland, his brothers, Charles Freeland, Danny Freeland, Michael Freeland, Clyde Freeland and Gary Freeland; three sisters, Anna Freeland, Janice Brackney and Faye Mitchell and one granddaughter, Baylee Elizabeth Freeland.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Maxie Schrieber will officiate.

Cremation will follow.
