Cynthia (Cyndi) Ann Barksdale, age 68, of Sikeston, MO, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo surrounded by her family.

Born March 13, 1958, in Hayti, MO to the late Alford Debakey and Charlene Chism. She enjoyed being a chef for many years for Mr. Tully Wilson in Nashville, TN and later a dietician for Wilson Manor Assisted Living Center in Lebanon, TN.

Cyndi enjoyed crafting, spending time outdoors (especially the beach), and spending time with her beloved family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Pennington and her niece, Elizabeth Baker Clark.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Barksdale, of Sikeston, MO, two siblings, Elishia Baker and Barry Grissom, both of Sikeston, MO, her mother in law, Dathol Barksdale of Sikeston, MO, two sons, Scottie Keefer of St. Louis, MO and William Barksdale of Lebanon, TN, three daughters, Nikki Brooks (Will) of Wickliffe, KY, Lindsey Sullins (Jesse) of Hartsville, TN, and Leslie Barksdale of Hartsville TN. As well as six grandchildren, Connor Carneal, Landon Carneal, Lily Carneal, Ryan Rhodes, Ti Dockery, and Lenni Sullins; two nephews, Blake Pennington, of Jackson, MO, Zeke Pennington, of Sikeston, MO, and a great niece, Miah Clark of East Prairie, MO.

Cyndi will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and smile that would light up every room.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time for a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston, Mo.
