James A. Lovell

James A. Lovell (Jimmy), age 52, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at his home in Diehlstadt, MO to his final home on Heaven’s Shores.

He was born December 31, 1973, at Gallup, New Mexico to the late Micheal Benbow and late Beverly Stanton. He was adopted and raised in Lexa, Arkansas by Paul Lovell, the man he proudly called Dad.

He was a loving and compassionate man with a heart bigger than the equipment he worked on. He was a self-taught mechanic whose commitment rivaled a buck during rut. He was a family man for more than 30 years. Jimmy loved his beautiful wife and together they raised more than just 2 sons. It was particularly impossible for him to not take action for a child in need. His favorite hobby was his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and tinkering.

Surviving is his wife of 32 years Monica Lovell; his children Justin (Ashley) Lovell, Jordan Lovell and Samantha Lovell: His 6 beautiful grandchildren Gabe Lovell, Sophia Lovell, Zayden Lovell, Judas Lovell, Brianna Williams and Lucious Williams; 4 sisters Paula Lovell, Gina Kinney, Jennifer Christianson and Jamie Osborn; his 2 bonus sons Joesph Joyner and Paul Hart and 2 special women, his cousin and sister-in-law AKA Partners in Crime Tanya Lovell Hardister and Angela N. T. Raines.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2026 in Lexa, Arkansas at the home of his dad, Paul Lovell.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
