Jimmy Showmaker

James (Jimmy) Richard Showmaker, son of the late E.J. Showmaker and Catherine Rose Duenne Showmaker, died Monday, June 23, 2025.

He was born December 17, 1967, at Sikeston, MO.  Jim loved playing games, cards and doing word searches and spending time with his family and friends.  Jimmy also enjoyed a good cheeseburger and french fries.

Jimmy is survived by three brothers, Edward Showmaker, John Thomas (Teresa) Showmaker and Stephen (Lisa) Showmaker; two sisters, Catherine Showmaker (Joe) Stricker and Maureen Showmaker (Ronald) Brown; his sister-in-law, Rosemary Renaud Showmaker; six nieces, eight nephews, seven great nieces, 14 great nephews and one great great nephew. In addition to his family, he will be missed by his best friend, Tim O'Leary and his family, and all those who knew him for the special person he was.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Fred Showmaker and Kenneth Charles Showmaker; and two sisters in law, Norma Showmaker and Sue Showmaker.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO.  Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
