Malinda Lou Cochran Hacker, age 77, known to many as Mindy, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, August 7, 2026, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO surrounded by family. 

Mindy was born on December 26, 1949, in Greensburg, KS, to the late Twylla and Kenneth Cochran. She graduated in 1968 from Greensburg High School. She was a cashier/office manager and homemaker all her life in Mississippi County. 

On May 9, 1979, she married Karl Steven Hacker, who preceded her in death in August 2022. Surviving are her son Tracy (Melissa) Hacker of Sikeston; her grandson Brayden Laminack of Sikeston; her daughter Brandy (Garrett) Miller of Charleston; her granddaughter Jazmyne Miller of Charleston; her son Scott (Sara) Gresham of Brenham, TX; her granddaughter Kerri Gresham of Texas; her grandson Nolan (Freddie) of Brenham, TX: her 3 great grandchildren Holden, Ruby, and Jack of Texas; her special grandson Daniel Russell of Charleston.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Karl E. Miller and her granddaughter Skylar Gresham.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time for the funeral service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
