Obituary

Paulina Som Becker, of Sedgewickville, MO, was born May 6, 1969, in Cambodia, and passed away, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Cape Girardeau, MO, at the age of 57. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and the rock and soul of her family.

Paulina’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Timothy Becker, and was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Danny, Phoebe, and Jessie. Her family was her world, and she gave them her whole heart.

Paulina was a woman with an incredible sense of humor. She was so funny, and her laugh was truly infectious. Her laughter could fill a room and bring smiles to everyone around her. She had a way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and at home simply by being herself.

Being a grandmother was one of the many joys of Paulina’s life. She was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren—Syre, Zoey, Cole, Ezra, and Nova—who brought so much love and happiness into her life. She treasured every moment she spent with them, and the love she had for each of them was immeasurable.

Paulina loved to cook and found joy in preparing meals for the people she loved. Her cooking was one of the many ways she showed her family how much she cared. Some of the sweetest memories her family will carry with them will be the moments gathered around a meal she made with love.

She also had a special place in her heart for her cats and loved spending time with all of them. Her caring and loving nature extended to the animals she cherished as well.

Paulina will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her humor, her infectious laugh, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She was the person her family could lean on—the heart, rock, and soul of the family.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Timothy Becker; her children, Danny, Phoebe, and Jessie; her five cherished grandchildren, Syre, Zoey, Cole, Ezra, and Nova; and all of the family and friends whose lives she touched.

Though she is no longer with us, Paulina’s love will continue to live on in her family, in the laughter she inspired, in the meals she lovingly prepared, and in the countless memories she created.

Her laugh may no longer fill the room, but those who loved her will carry that sound in their hearts forever.

Paulina will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always loved.

Private family services will be held.
